Shipping/Receiving Clerk

Position Summary
Coordinate and assist in operations and processing of paperwork through Shipping/Receiving Office. Has the authority and responsibility to initiate action to prevent the occurrence of any non-conformity relating to product, process, and quality system. To identify and record any problems relating to the product, process, and quality system. To initiate, recommend, or provide solutions through designated channels. To verify the implementation of solutions and control further processing or delivery of nonconforming product until the deficiency or unsatisfactory condition has been corrected.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
1. Process deliveries through pick confirming, manifesting and ship confirming.
2. Compiles shipping/receiving reports for division use.
3. Scans POD's into Sunnet Imaging.
4. May assist with locator updates.
5. Maintains files of delivery tickets, POD's and OP Receivers.
6. Receives and Ship product in SunQuest, including UPS and FedEx.
7. Helps with disposition of product.
8. Performs other duties and/ or responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications
Education and Experience:
Six to twelve months related experience and/or training.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Ability to analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and public.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Ability to compute rate, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carryout instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
Ability to use 10-key calculator, PC, photocopies, telephone and facsimile machine.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
