Industrial Engineer

LIM Living is looking for an Industrial Engineer to work under the direction of the Manufacturing Manager.
The ideal candidate will be a multi-faceted hands-on individual that will play a crucial role in ensuring efficiency, productivity, and optimization within our company's manufacturing setting.
The candidate will be directly involved with the manufacturing and production process for prefabricated buildings and components as required and based on LIM Living standards and specifications.
Your primary objective will be to improve efficiency, productivity, and quality, while reducing costs and waste while helping to guide the company's build team, ensuring smooth workflow, productivity, and a safe working environment.

Job Expectations:
Analyze and streamline production processes to enhance efficiency, minimize waste, and increase overall productivity.
Implement lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement initiatives to achieve operational excellence.
Conduct cost analysis for various manufacturing processes and propose cost-saving measures without compromising quality or safety standards.
Lead, motivate, and manage a team of shop floor workers.
Assign tasks, provide guidance, and conduct performance evaluations to maintain a high-performing and cohesive team.
Coordinate and schedule shop activities to ensure production targets are met.
Allocate resources effectively and adjust staffing levels as needed to optimize production.
Design and implement streamlined workflows for various stages of construction, including component fabrication, assembly, finishing, and quality control.
Provide technical expertise and guidance throughout the pre-construction process.
Enforce quality control measures and conduct regular inspections to maintain product quality and compliance with specifications.
Address any quality issues and work with the team to implement corrective actions.
Develop and implement quality control procedures to ensure that prefab components and buildings meet or exceed the required standards and customer expectations.
Ensure that all machinery and equipment are properly maintained and functioning optimally.
Coordinate with maintenance teams for routine inspections and repairs.
Promote a culture of safety and enforce safety protocols to ensure a safe work environment.
Conduct safety meetings and ensure that employees are trained on safety procedures.
Utilize data analysis techniques to monitor and measure performance metrics, including production output, efficiency, and defect rates.
Use data-driven insights to identify opportunities for improvement.
Analyze and evaluate the existing manufacturing processes, identify areas for improvement, and develop strategies to enhance efficiency and productivity.
Provide training to new employees and ongoing skill development for existing team members.
Conduct cross-training initiatives to enhance flexibility and efficiency within the team.
Foster a culture of continuous improvement within the shop.
Encourage and implement suggestions from team members to optimize processes and productivity.
Oversee specific projects aimed at process improvement, automation, or the introduction of new technology.
Plan, execute, and monitor these projects to successful completion.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop production schedules, set production targets, and ensure timely completion of prefab building projects.
Facilitate effective communication between management and shop floor workers.
Relay important information and updates to the team and ensure that feedback and concerns are appropriately addressed.
Create prefab-related design packaging strategies.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, production planning, and quality control principles.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Ability to adapt to changing project requirements, production environments, and emerging technologies.
Flexibility to adjust plans and strategies based on new information.
Possess a deep understanding of industrial engineering concepts, methodologies, and best practices related to process optimization, production planning, quality control, and cost analysis.
Ability to manage projects effectively, set priorities, allocate resources, and meet projected deadlines.
Capacity to identify improvement opportunities and propose innovative solutions.
Knowledge of safety regulations and a commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
Experience and Education:
Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Industrial Engineering required.
Minimum 5 years of experience in an Engineering role.
Proven ability to read, interpret, and comprehend blueprints, structural and architectural drawings.
Basic electrical, plumbing, and construction equipment familiarity including CNC machinery a plus.
Proficient in 2D& 3D Software (Solidworks or Rhino 3D/Grasshopper proficiency a plus)Excellent industry technology competencies including BIM related platforms (Revit, Assemble, etc.
), digital plan room applications, and field technology.
Experience in the construction industry, specifically in prefab or modular construction, is highly desirable.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
